I would not do like this.
if you wish to alter the tree itself, you can either alter the awdata class by 
replacing the material generation using bitmapFileMaterial
you can also replace by hand the urls into the awd file (at the end)
or if you want access materials for dynamically added meshes, use the 
centralLibrary.
