Wow, thanks a freaking lot :) I didn't yet have time to test it (need to catch some sleep :P), but I made myself a big TODO note (which is a piece of paper with "Check out Lukas' widget code!" written on it) so I'll get reminded to check it out tomorrow.
From your description however I gather widget layouts finally come to be
what I envisioned them :)
