Hi!I have been using awesome for few years now and it has been the most pleasant wm I have used. So for all the devs, thank you!
I have posted my configuration: rc.lua: http://pastebin.com/NEwdHPGB changetags.sh: http://pastebin.com/gCjShM76 (these are also attached)I recently upgraded my awesome from 3.4.15 to 3.5.2 and started studying about new features in awful to add, delete and rename tags on the fly. I was able to make key bindings for these new features (almost copy/paste from here: https://github.com/Elv13/tyrannical/issues/15#issuecomment-18227575 ). But it seems there is few problems with this setup:
1. the delete part does not properly update the tags table 2. the renaming does not do that ether 3. the add part is also incomplete on this part.I'm asking if someone with better understanding about how lua and awful works, could take a look on these functions, thanks. (I have marked these parts as "-- tag Control".)
Then the actual funny part. After I was able to create tags on the go I started to like the idea to have a dmenu like way to change tags by typing its name. I did managed to write something like this as a bash script (see the changetags.sh) but I don't like the idea of having separated script for tag switching. And this should not be so hard to implement with awful.prompt. Again I'm asking if someone who knows how these things work could take a look.
Please forgive me, I'm not a coder so my lua and even my bash can be slightly awful. :-)
