[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] 'Released' Status in Production

Good morning / afternoon / evening, I am implementing at a customer site that has purchased Production 1 only. I note that the production order status ‘Released’ does not appear as an update option for the production orders, nor does any mention of ‘Release’ occur in any of the parameter and setup sessions. Can anybody explain why?
