1. Set up a "tools" work center group and make the jigs, inserts, and other necessary work centers under the group. 2. On the routings you would have a primary step of a machine and a secondary of the tool. Also possible would be a secordary 2 of a machine operator. Hints: The tools WCG would have a resource type of Tool. The route step primary /secondary setting is the priority field. If using Operations scheduling then the WCG should only contain tools that are interchangeable (no mix of jigs AND inserts: jigs ONLY, etc.) and the route step should call the WCG rather than the specific WC. The primary operation determines the scheduling for the secondaries. Example Routing ABC 10 Primary Operation = Saw, WC = Saw1 10 Secondary 1 Operation = SJig, WC = Big Jig 10 Secondary 2 Operation = SOpr, WC = SOperator 1 20 Primary Clean, WC = Cleaning Station 1 30 Primary Inspect, WC = QA Inspector Hope this helps.
