Can you plz let me know have import the data where fixed asset status in "Asset
Book Table" is " Not yet Aquired". Most of the cases the people do this wrong
think. If u make the status open and import the data then it will not
calculated, when u rund Depeciation Proposal.
the Basic step of the importing data - upload the master "Asset Table"/"Asset
Book"/"Location"/"Asset Group" and create the value model manually.
But be very care full About the "Asset Book". Plz make sure your asset Status
"Not Yet Accuired". Depreciation Last Run Date " Date when opeing Accomulated
balance posted"
Also Create the posting profile. GL--->Set UP--->FA-->Posting Pofile.
Then Upload the Master Data through Excel
Then Upload the Asset Balance & Accomulated Depreciation through Ledger Journal
Trans.
If you take cut off date 31/12/2009 is your closing. then Depreciation Last Run
Date for every assets "31/12/2009".
After posting the opening balance ,closed the financial yr in axapta.
Then run you deprectiation --- monthly basis " 31/1/2010"
I think depreciation will run from your depreciation proposal.

Dear All.
I have a strange problem I have imported all Fixed Assets and then tried to
calculate depreciation proposal but that is not worling so I checked the
Deprecaiton in the FA->Value models -> Inquiy-> Profile the depreciation
calaculation the calculation is done. but when i try to fun in from GL->
Generral Jounral-> Depreciation proposal the same is not calculated on the
imported Assets.
Hence I created and Asset in Ax and the acquired it through General Journal
the same process above was repeated the depreciation runs fine. in the
acquistion proposal the same can be run and posted .
I dont know why it runs why acquired through acquistion General Journal and
does not worked when imported.
