Thank you for the hint. After editing lsp/gcl_callhash.lsp and restarting build it went much further, however I see another error: ./raw_ansi_gcl /var/tmp/hebisch/lisp/gcl-20070626.2/unixport/ -libdir /var/tmp/hebisch/lisp/gcl-20070626.2/ < foo GCL (GNU Common Lisp) April 1994 524288 pages Building symbol table for /var/tmp/hebisch/lisp/gcl-20070626.2/unixport/raw_ansi_gcl .. <many lines snipped> Signalled by LET. SIMPLE-ERROR: can't compile CMP-ANON Broken at LET. Type :H for Help. 1 (Continue) Retry compiling (COMPILER::CMP-ANON NIL). 2 Retry compiling (COMPILER::CMP-ANON NIL). 3 Return to top level. Note that before I saw your e-mail I have fetched newer gcl version from cvs, it failed exactly in the same place as previously. Following your advice I edited the problematic file and restarted the build.
