Thanks a lot! And it seems that 1.1RC2 works fine in JBoss 3.2.2beta :). Now I have debug messages and umlauts. By the way, our service sets the content-type header correctly and uses iso-8859-1 there too, but in the version before your fix, this is not used. Thanks again, Bernd
