Hello all those interested, I believe that for S. Miguel it was the "Batalhao de Cacadores No.11", which later was to become the "Batalhao de Infantaria No.18", based in Arrifes, Ponta Delgada. Try a google search. Hope that helps. Hermano

I have some ancestors who were cacadores (not sure of what number though). I checked too, but did not come up with anything. Can you forward me the pictures you found. Thank you. Now I know which microfilms to order. I got info on the Internet regarding the Cazadores or hunters. Even got pictures of the uniforms to put in the ancestor's scrapbook. Thanks anyway. Thanks again.Maria Elena</table_________________________________________________________________ Proud to be a PC? Show the world.
