I just looked at the 1880 census again and see that her father's occupation was Mill Operation and on her birth record (1882) his occ is shown as Mill Hand so I think this may indeed be her birth record. I've gone through the Portuguese records but have searched for the Morris name. I'll try searching under these other names as well.
