Hi Terry,

To find out where in Calif, you have to start with the genealogist's BIG 3:
Name, date, and place. Without them, it's pretty hard to help you. If you
are 20, and your great-grandfather was born probably c. 1900 and if he
immigrated c. 1950, you're going to have a hard time. If you are around 70
years old, your greats would be b. c. mid-1800s probably, it would be easier
to help you (unless they migrated in the 1890s gap with the Sao Miguel
records). So stating that he's your great-grandfather is not helping us
help you. You need to state his name, the dates and places you have on him,
and what research you have done (or is it the interviews with your aunts).

Check out this link and do part 1 too, since it seems like you've only done
interviews so far. You need to start with the last thing he did, which was
his death and collect all death info about him (death certificate,
obiturary, etc).
