Elena and Joao brought down Jose Furtado whose daughter was Maria de Jesus b. 1838. I have my gap from there to my ggrandfather Mariano Furtado, b. abt. 1863 who had Joaquin, Marianna, *Jose, Antonio (my grandfather) and Emilia. Was Maria de Jesus the mother ? father of Mariano?
