While at the Alameda county Recorders office today, I found the
marriage listing for Jose and Luzia. This info can be used to order a
marriage certificate online. I don't know what

information it would contain. I've gotten birth certificate from this
time period before that were very difficult to read due to the method
of photocopying from microfilm onto a an engraved

document paper. I've asked for them to copy to white paper , but they wouldn't

The listing was:

Souza, Luzia J   and   Jose Faustino  25 Dec 1887  in the City of
Oakland  Official-M.J. Whyte  Book -L page - 203
