Herb, I have Manuel dos Santos Faria b. 1725 m. Luzia de Medeiros in 1752. Their daughter Monica Jacinta de Jesus m. Joao Borges Tavares which brought down my Borges line. Also Joao Rodrigues b. 1715 m. Maria dos Santos their son, Jose Tavares Rodrigues brought that Tavares line down, but the Rodrigues and Tavares names were dropped. The dos Santos were the female lines coming down.
Could your dos Santos been related on the males lines coming down even though mine were from Ribeira Grande?
