Miguel e Santa Maria' by Rodrigo Rodrigues, concerning your maternal line. Your ancestor Maria Moniz de Figueiredo is well studied and through her you can go backwards to the settlers João de Alvernaz and Rui Vaz de Medeiros who are among the four main family trunks in São Miguel that brought the Furtado surname to the island in the beginning of the colonization.
