Can someone please help me with the translation for this note from the NEPS website? I get that the birth record wasn't found and that from the death record the priest says that he died in Sep 1670 and that it was presumed that he was buried in the church of Santa Barbara. It's the "do pé da Carapeta, estando eu no Pico" part that I'm not clear on. Is it saying it's where he's from or maybe where he died? Não foi encontrado o registo de nascimento (baptismo) do António. No registo de óbito do António, o padre diz o seguinte: "A tantos de Setembro de mil seiscentos e setenta, faleceu António Alvernás do pé da Carapeta, estando eu no Pico, recebeu todos os divinos sacramentos, fez uns apontamentos(sic)". Presume-se que tenha sido sepultado na Igreja Paroquial de Santa Barbara. Thanks in advance for the help.
