Hi Sam, FTDNA's Family Finder test gives the ethnicity percentages and showed Shirley as part Middle Eastern. Since Shirley was the DNA participant, it shows that she's part Middle Eastern. In order for her to find out if it was her father's or mother's line, she would have to test each one of them if they were alive, or have a paper trail to the Sephardic line.
