My maternal grandfather, Manuel Silveira Azevedo, came to California in the 1880s from Sao Jorge Azores. I believe there were Azevedo's in the Oakland/Stockton/San Leandro area in the early 1900s.
I drop in and out of this site as I have put my genealogy search on hold as I finish grad school, but I'm always on the lookout for other Azevedo's. what is your Azevedo lineage?
