According to the 1900 census if this is the right person Felipa would have been been born abt 1847. I spent eight hours at their archives and there are no records there. They arrived before Ellis Island. I can find no naturalization papers for them in Gloucester. All birth and death records indicate only Azores. I am getting old and would like to visit the village where they came from and to finally connect with my Portugese heritage. My grandfather died in the 1918 epidemic and so any connection to the past wast lost. PLEASE - anyone - HELP. I need advice and direction.
