Hi Cheri, Thank you so much for this information. I do have a some questions. Do you know the *address to write*, for the *Passaportes for Emigration*, out of the Azores at the *Port of Horta*? How much this record cost? *Would the Passaportes records be for all members of the family that Emmigrated?* The marriage record, (per the church in Horta), for my g.g. grandparents is: Jose *da Rosa* Fialho married Gertrudes Garcia on 05/29/1889. All my records, once in America, have either Rosa/Rose/da Rosa. *My question; Would the Passaportes records held in Horta, have da Rosa Fialhoor only da Rosa? *(I don't know if the 'Fialho' would have been dropped when they got their Passportes or dropped once in America.) ** To your question: * Ages of my relatives in 1893* (Husband) Jose da Rosa b. approx. 1872 (Wife) Gertrudes (Garcia) da Rosa b. March 28, 1872 (Child) Maria 'Mary' da Rosa b. August 22, 1889 (Child) Margarida da Rosa b. July 07, 1892 (I believe she also immigrated with the family. This was new info. since the original post.) Thank you for your guidance. ~Peace and Happiness~ Fawnie (Fawn U) On Thursday, March 7, 2013 7:07:06 AM UTC-5, Fawnie wrote: > > Good Day, > > I am hoping for guidance with this question: > > How would I find Immigration records, in Fayal, for relatives that left > there and came to Cambridge, MA? > > I only have the immigration year.
