Lorraine P, You won't be able to find any basic information about your Azorean ancestors in Lisbon. What I mean by that is you will NOT be finding any birth, marriage, or death information on them.
A few people on this list research mainland Portugal and have knowledge of their records. Their national archive is called the Torre do Tombo.
