My brothers match in Cuba is handled by his daughter and when we emailed it became apparent that her fathers family lore had them coming from Spain and I know part of my genealogy goes way back in Spain. Many of my brothers matches are to Spain, Morocco and Algeria......far back in my paternal line on Sao Jorge a Pedro de Brazil, and back in the continent was a Hidalgo da Tuy.....my and my brother and uncle's matches raise interesting questions, like the 3rd cousin from Brazil and the Holmes brothers who show as 2nd to 3rd cousins, whose dead end is an Isabel Enos Silveira born in Sao Jorge a few years before my dead end grandfather from Sao Jorge, Jose Enos who used many names later but came into this country as Jose Enos. Doug, I'm sure the weather in Mexico is very nice, but the Azores are beautiful, and I don't think families would pack up and leave just for a warmer climate. I believe the fact that some of my DNA cousins have ancestors who lived in Nuevo Leon could be significant.
