She goes back to a Bartolomeu Fonte. Manuel Jorge Martins is Bartolomeu's
six times great grand son. Were you born the 2 August, in Madalena,
Pico.1964.?Was your father Manuel Dutra Martins and mother Maria Adelina

Hello,
Last night I found the passenger list of family members that immigrated
to New Bedford in 1910. I have confirmed the family but I have not
researched it further.
Does anyone in this list have Fonte or Fontes family from New Beford?
They were originally from Candelaria but were living in Flamengos Faial,
I believe that they moved there during the time when Faial was exporting
oranges.
