I noticed you were a Family Finder match and when I looked at your gedcom I saw
that it was quite complete except for any locations....I saw many names in
common....now I know it's Candelaria, Pico....I went and looked at our in
common matches and there are many more Pico matches. We'll have to figure it
out. It would be so interesting to be able to take all of us in common and pin
it down....many of us share the Cardoso and Bettencourt names as well as
others.

Last night I found the passenger list of family members that immigrated
to New Bedford in 1910. I have confirmed the family but I have not
researched it further.
Does anyone in this list have Fonte or Fontes family from New Beford?
They were originally from Candelaria but were living in Flamengos Faial,
I believe that they moved there during the time when Faial was exporting
oranges.
