Antonio Homem and Josefa dos Ramos. Notice the H after the Antonio
abbreviation. The R for Ramos was hard but that's the only word that
make sense.

Diane, with difficult records I sometimes find it easier to copy out
the narrative in Portuguese, then translate it to English. Also,
sometimes enlarging the document helps to make out some of the more

Anyway, This is what I came up with:
/"Francisco, son of Francisco Goncalves, native of this place of
Feteiras, and his wife Rita Ignacia, native of the parish of the
Apostle Sao Matheus of Pico, and members of the above church of the
Apostle Sao Matheus/ [rather] parish of Divino Espirito Santo;
Paternal grandson of Manoel Goncalves and Agada Maria, and Maternal
[grandson] of Antonio Correia and Maria dos [Marecos?], was born on
the twenty-fifth day of the month of October, 1822, and was baptized
by me, the Vicar signed below, on the third of November of this same
year. Godfather was Manoel Joze Correia, and Godmother, Anna
Feliciana, his sister, children of Manoel Joze Correia and Maria
Felicia. Witnesses were Antonio de Medeiros, treasurer, and Francisco
de Vargas. For the record I dated as above. [ Vicar Joao Vieira da
Rosa; Antonio de Medeiros; and, Francisco de Vargas]"/

for Francisco. His entry is on the right bottom of the page
Here is what I have:
Francisco, son of Francisco Gonsalves, native of Feteira, and his
wife Rita Inacia, native of Apostalo de Matheus do Pico, and
Frequesia of ? (several words after are unintelligible) , paternal
grandparents Manuel Gonsalves and Agada Maria(?), maternal
grandparents Antonio Correia and Josefa ? , born on the 25^th day
of October?, 1822 and baptized on the 3^rd day of November, 1822.
Godfather Manuel Jose Correia and ? Anna Felicia, daughter of
Manuel Jose Correia. The rest makes no sense to me except that I
see a few names strung together.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
