Jose de Sousa son of Manuel de Sousa (Banavides) Benevides (the B is similar to the B in Baptism) and Ursula (Urcela) de Viveiros residents in N. S. da Apresenacao, Capelas where the groom was baptised with Teresa de Viveiros daughter of Manuel de Sousa Travassos and Teresa de Viveiros, resirents in Divino Espirito Santo, Maia where the bride was baptised. After that it becomes difficult to make out any additional information. I see some references to quaresma and baptism which is fairly standard language on most marriages of that time It also appears that Theresa de Viveiros was the daughter of another Manuel de Souza ????? but I cant make it out. The last name appears to start with the letter F. Could it be Manuel de Souza Francisco? This is one of the tougher ones for me but I am grateful that I can see the names of the bride and groom, which is a wonderful thing.
