The CD/DVD needs to be prepared (opened) for writing and then finished (closed) for reading in other systems. In general, the directory structure isn't written until the CD/DVD is closed. Then, when the backup is done, go ahead and write to the CD/DVD. That is where All the Family Tree maker Files are stored. Then just make a copy and paste it to your CD disk.
