(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, and IslandRoutes)

NOTE: Although this is titled "Azores Genealogy Conference" it is open to
anyone with Portuguese ancestry. The only thing we don't cover is the
Madeiran ARM, but there are people in our group who can assist with that
database. Madeirans and Cape Verdeans are welcome to attend.

Once again, we are hosting the Azores Genealogical Conference and Research
Trip in Salt Lake City, at the Plaza Hotel, next door to the Family History
Library! Joao Ventura, from Terceira, will be attending and speaking along
with me and Rosemarie Capodicci. It will be held Tuesday, April 7th
through Friday, April 10th (this is right after Easter). The meet and
greet will be held Monday night between the hours of 7:30 - 9:30 pm for
those arriving the day before.

We designed the conference to give you enough information in the beginning
so we can help you after dinner and a good part of the day on Friday. A
lot of the magic happens after the classes. We will have a sign up sheet
this year for 30 minute slots with Joao, Cheri, or Rosemarie. We will sit
with you and go though document by document. We want you to be successful!

The conference fees will remain at $80 this year for 4 days of classes and
research assistance. Money must be mailed by Friday, March 20th. After
that, the fee will be $100 at the door. International people email me,
Cheri, off list, as converting funds at your bank may be a headache for you.

We were able to secure the genealogy special again at the Plaza Hotel. The
special is the "Stay 3 nights and get the 4th free" at the rate of $85 a
night (plus all the taxes and stuff). The regular room rate is $129 a
night. Your room must be booked by Friday, March 6th.

NOTE: There will NOT be another genealogy conference for at least 18-24
months after this one. So NO genealogy conference in April 2016.

If you want the registration, I can attach it in an email to you (between
the group filter and various ISPs, I know it will get to you). Kathy
Cardoza will post it on the Azores GenWeb. I just sent it to her and I
don't know her plans this weekend, so it may be a few days before she gets
it upload. I'll post that link when it is available.

Hope to see many of you there!
Cheri, Rosemarie, and Joao Ventura from Terceira
