Hi Jeanne, I don't visit the Azorean website very often. My husband's, Dutra family was from Cedros and we visited there 3 years ago. We, came across a mercado owned by an Escobar family. The wife that ran the store was about in her 40's with 2 elementary school age children.She said her husband is related to the Escobar's, that live in Portsmouth, R.I. The elderly mother was in the store, I'm not sure if it was have s or hers. She didn't speak any English, but the younger people did. This family might be a link for you. Good luck.
