Recently I acquired the birth record of a great uncle born in Sao Miguel. He was my grandfather's brother. I was astonished to find their incognito grandparents listed in the birth record. I have been searching for any information on their grandparents for over 20 years and all of a sudden I see them. At first I couldn't believe it, I didn't even realize it at first. They are listed as Antonio de Sousa Estrela and Maria Rosa. I have been searching marriage records from the time period of 1837 to 1884 in NS da Estrela Ribeira Grande. Hoping someone has this couple in their records. One theory is that maybe they married after the birth of my grandfather and great uncle. I haven't gotten to the Conceicao records yet or the nearby Sao Pedro records in Ribeira Seca. Thanks.
