I agree that it is a boy. 

I just thought I would re-post the baptismal record of one of my 
grandfather's sisters just for fun since it fits in with the heading of 
this thread.  The record identified her as a male named Francisco until the 
name and gender were changed via a margin note more than 40 years after the 
fact. Francisco, n.9 left side.

Francisca did get a passaporte in 1920 and immigrated to Manteca, CA where 
she married.  She moved back Terceira in the 1930s with her husband and 
child(ren).

Do you suppose her baptismal record served as identification for her 1920 
passaporte in Angra or her 1921 marriage in Manteca?
