Manita, This a great undertaking! Wow, I think one of the main questions I would as would be, is there any written documention of the families that settled in the Azores from Flanders? We do know the names of many of the founding people but what is the history on them in Flanders? Why did they leave, was it economic, religious, the promise of their own land (younger sons etc.)? I'm sure you've thought of all of these and more! Good luck.
