Hi Pat,
I believe my cousin has been in touch with you already as she is starting 
her research on her dads side.  I have been trying to help her as well.
I saw this post and perhaps you have already found much more by now.  
You said in this message that you didn't have much info on the Rosa's .   I 
found from Jose Francisco's first marriage to Maria Felicia do Coracao de 
Jesus
Rosa born 20 July 1860 in Feteira, Horta, Faial Isl. and she was baptized 
on 29 July 1860

from Jose's second marriage to Virginia Emilia was....
Rosalinda born 11 July 1874 in Feteira, Horta, Faial Isl and she was 
baptized on 23 July 1874
