I managed to get into a private corporate champagne buffet at InfoSec Europe/London a couple of years ago by just speaking on my mobile while I walked past the security reception. Wouldn't be quite so funny except that the reception was for invited CISSP members only and I wasn't a member or invited. The champagne always tastes better this way.
