We're using an Aiby II. It has a IDE (Ultra ATA-100) backplane, and a SCSI Ultra160 host. At the moment it's configured with 4 x 250GB drives, and we're using ReiserFS on it. The cost was fairly high, but at the time, it was the cheapest solution we could find. If I was purchasing something right now, I would go with an entry level NAS system - the prices have come down enough to make them affordable (at least for NAS systems that can store about the same amount). Oh, here's a direct link to the Aiby on RaidWeb's site (we bought it from them): http://www.raidweb.com/aiby.html HTH, Ranbir -- Kanwar Ranbir Sandhu Systems Aligned Inc. www.systemsaligned.com ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
