But that is not what is happening. At least if the BackupPC_dump command is 
doing
a full backup with:

BackupPC_dump -v -f www

It definitely starts over and cleans out the "new" directory after having to
recover from a Segmentation fault. I can repeat many times without getting
anywhere.
