Hi Winston,
I'm guessing you will need to use a file system supporting hard links.
AFAIK NTFS does not.
So I would change to ext3 (or XFS/Reiser?), but I'm not an expert, so
you might want to wait for another list member to confirm that before
you proceed.

for me the only problem is backuppc cannot write a socket file to the
fs, if i can change the location of that socket file ill be good to go,
or if i can get that socket to that disk, but ill wait for your reply.
