Hi Folks, I really want to get a bigger hard drive as part of upgrading my BackupPC machine to the latest version of Fedora Core and BackupPC. I'm over 80% disk utilization right now. I'm using a 120 Gig HD right now to back up a 200 gig and a 60 gig server.
I'm extremely tempted by this deal at Fry's... http://www.outpost.com/entry?site=op:mfe031406&sku=4596287 The problem is that my backup "server" is a Dell 466 Celeron workstation. I know I'm going to need a PCI card to drive this 400 Gig UDMA HD. So, does anyone know of a decent, cheapish, card that will be picked up by Fedora and bridge the gap between my old Celeron based computer and this monster hard drive?
