Backups speed is very much a function of file size - one of my backup clients is all big files (media and hd images) - it backs up at close to 10mb/sec (from a MacPro over gigabit) - the system drive on the same box backs up at around 2 MB/sec, Which reminds me - I've had good results splitting large machines into multiple backup jobs each targeting a different drive on the client. Once the full backups get out of phase with each other it spreads the load out quite well. John ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
