I could, but I was trying to keep the sources pristine so that upgrades 
don't require much in the way of manual intervention (ie, creating a new 
patch file for each new release).  I was hoping to find a way that would 
allow the port to stay more or less the same, just update some 
crc/md5's, and push it out.  I don't have a lot of time to keep creating 
patches, and I don't actually know *how* to properly create a patch. :P

So yeah. ;)  You are correct with the above.  Just trying to avoid it.
