I think you have a network problem on PC, can you change your nic with another?
I have file size limitation but over 4Gb!! This limitation is into module source clitar.c of smbclient. I ask help to samba-mailing-list. Moreover, BackupPC has very strange behavior I watched the size of the "new" directory..
