Hello all!
I hope someone can help me here or point me in the right direction.
I have been running Backuppc like 2.0.1, something like that. I removed it and
installed backuppc 3.0. I got the web page to load. Now I'm stumped on a few
things. I'm trying to do a symbolic link to /var/lib/backuppc to a usb drive,
which worked in the older version of Backuppc. I made the symbolic link but
now i get an error with Backuppc...
Error: Unable to connect to BackupPC server
I tried giving the folder permissions to everyone, but still no go.
The other issue I'm having is that now Backuppc runs as a daemon, so the usual
"/etc/init.d/backuppc restart" does not work anymore. I followed the README on
how to add the script, which I did. But when I do a....
/etc/init.d/backuppc stop
I get no confirmation and the web page will still load. In the older version
if I did "/etc/init.d/backuppc stop", the web page would not load.
Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.
