By the way: The Pool-Disk is dedicated an not the source disk for the backup. Here's the vmstat. I hope it's readable. procs ---------memory------ ---swap-- -----io--- -system-- ----cpu-- r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa 1 3 2816 6308 135036 228608 0 0 527 583 3027 4872 11 11 0 77 0 3 2816 6236 134420 229588 0 0 779 281 2946 4755 18 12 0 70 0 4 2816 5532 134820 229848 0 0 436 333 3906 4505 8 19 0 73 0 4 2816 5736 134524 229580 0 0 697 545 2850 4836 12 12 0 76 0 4 2816 6500 133772 229860 0 0 764 334 4932 4765 17 18 0 64 0 2 2816 8176 133552 228160 0 0 1012 268 4691 4754 20 19 0 61 0 3 2816 6264 134656 229228 0 0 425 382 2688 4780 9 10 0 81 0 3 2816 8548 132884 227432 0 0 2905 540 2587 4895 24 16 0 61 2 3 2816 5772 132852 231056 0 0 2324 621 3048 4749 22 16 0 62 0 3 2816 8512 131864 229080 0 0 1712 281 3660 4766 17 16 0 67 0 4 2816 9352 131680 228988 0 0 2273 597 2908 4787 19 15 0 65 0 4 2816 6024 132052 231792 0 0 1493 268 3847 4785 14 16 0 70 0 4 2816 7784 130404 231912 0 0 2060 838 3311 4759 18 16 0 67 0 3 2816 6004 129968 234008 0 0 1888 283 3795 4723 19 17 0 64 0 4 2816 6164 130000 233700 0 0 1385 594 2964 4755 15 13 0 72 0 4 2816 6404 130044 232444 0 0 1131 268 3537 4757 15 16 0 70 > > Out of couriousity: How many MB/s do your backups usually acheive? > > Anywhere from 1MB/s to 8MB/s is typical depending on the > client speed and files being backed up. I can imagine, that big files are quicker.. Well, I would be happy with about 4MB/s...
