mkdir() is failing. It appears that certain file systems have a limit of ~32K subdirectories. I'm not sure why it would fail if the client and backup server file systems are the same (the directory tree should be the same on the backup server as the client). Do you have directories that have a very large number of subdirectories? Look through the XferLOG file to see where the error occurs.
