What you mean is probably not symbolic links but NTFS junctions, which behave more like UNIX hard links. I believe none of the current rsyncd versions will support junctions. The simple solution so far has been to exclude junctions from backup: http://www.cs.umd.edu/~cdunne/projs/backuppc_guide.html#7Vista Kind regads, Denis ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list [email protected] List: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki: http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net Project: http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
