While everything you say is spot on, the vast, vast, majority of the
space in /var/lib/backuppc is typically consumed by the (c)pool.
Assuming you are using the same compression method, then the pool
files should be mostly the same.
I say 'mostly' since some files may change between when 'server1' vs
'server2' are doing their backups.
So from a space conservation perspective there won't be too much
duplication.
