Hi there,

certainly help!

Yesterday I released version 0.63 of BackupPC-XS on Github.

This evening I also released version 4.4.1rc1 of BackupPC itself.

You can get them both by downloading the master branch 'Zip' file, or
by cloning with git.

The new version of BackupPC requires the new version of BackupPC-XS,
although you can use version 0.62 if you make a one-character change
to the .../bin/BackupPC Perl script which specifies 0.63.

Although I'm running them here on a production server, please consider
them experimental at this stage. As - obviously - they have not been
packaged by any distribution, if you want to test them they will need
to be installed from source. I expect BackupPC-XS 0.63 builds to be a
source of entertainment for quite some time.

These releases are completely compatible with backups made by V4.4.0,
there is no need for any change to any previously backed up data.

At this stage there is no change to rsync-bpc, which together with the
smbclient interface is where the bulk of what I (jokingly) describe as
my free time will be spent for very probably the rest of this year.

At least I hope so. I'm here to help.
