I also have the same problem.  I have been getting around it by selecting mod and then changing the storage to the correct device.  It would be nice if it were automatic since my coworkers may miss this little step and become oh so frustrated.

I'm using 1.36.3 on Debian.

As you see, the Storage selected is "backup"!
