Right. That's how Bacula works. Think of volumes like tapes - Bacula can not change the tape label because that should match with the label on the cartridge. This is one of the reasons why I prefer to let Bacula handle the volumes, so I do not need telling names. Whenever I need to find volumes with data from a certain client, I can use a query in bconsole. > Pool > { > Name = Full-Pool > Pool Type = Backup > Recycle = yes > AutoPrune = yes > Volume Retention = 60 days > Maximum Volume Jobs = 1 > Label Format = "Full-${Client}-${Day:p/2/0/r}-${Month:p/2/0/r}-${Year}" > } > > So if i have a file/volume named Full-client1-<date..> and the job is for > client3,the data of cliente3 is stored in this file. > > (2) If Bacula starts a job for client1, and client1 is off, Bacula create a > file/volume named Full-client1-... in a Append state. But i want to map filenames with client names. If you really need that, you'll have to use dedicated pools per client. Arno > Any ideas?
