Actually "fast" fsf is not required to skip over other jobs, it just makes it faster. Unless you also set Forward Space File = no, Bacula still uses normal fsf to skip the jobs, but does it 1 tape file(*) at a time and also reads the first block of each one. The "fast" case skips N tape files in 1 tape driver command.
